Some semi-auto pistols lock the slide back on an empty mag. This makes dry fire practice, and some malfunction drills, difficult. USING AN EMPTY MAGAZINE, insert this device on top of the follower. The slide will now not lock back, making recocking simple. With any dry fire practice, do not have any live ammo in the room with you. Insert into an M1 Garand or M1A/M15 chamber for safe dry fire practice. Reset the trigger by pulling the op rod handle back about 1/4". Do not insert into a hot weapon! Check out Revere's Riders for top-notch, affordable rifle marksmanship training: http://www.reveresriders.org
